Your main focus will be servicing the Photography and Design Support needs of SGS's main clients – who are some the world’s largest brands and retailers.

The main focus of this position would be Photography Art Direction.

Your experience:

• Write and speak fluent - English
• Speak - Cantonese and Putonghua is an advantage
• 5 years + experience briefing photographers
• 5 years + experience graphic product design
• International and local work experience
• Indoor and outdoor photography shoots
• Retail photography; electronics, appliances, toys, home accessories etc
• Lifestyle, inc. models, children, clothing and mood shots
• Apple OS X
• Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2
• Email and Internet
• 3D rendering/modeling (an advantage)
• Work under pressure

Duties

Initial Requirements:

• Meet the team
• Understand SGS’ production processes
• Understand SGS’ Clients and their expectations
• Become familiar with Filemaker Database Systems (training will be given)

General Day-to-day Routine:

Photography Art Direction

• Create design and layout briefs for the Photographer for each job to meet client’s expectations and corporate style guides.
• Arrange purchase of relevant props and find suitable locations when outdoor photography required
• Manage all jobs through the photography studio to meet deadlines for clients
• Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
• Proof photography thumbnails and images to customers for approval
• Work with the Photography Sales Manager to create new business opportunities and literature

Creative Services

• Take briefs from SGS Clients or SGS Designers to adapt design guidelines to be used on a product or across a range of products
• Create visuals and present concepts in a professional way to the Client
• 3D Photoshop graphics or rendering software for design proposals
• Liase with team members in the UK to ensure Client’s needs are met and they are satisfied
