SGSAP experienced Filemaker Database Developer is required to assist with this ongoing project role within an existing Filemaker environment.

Working within a friendly, relaxed western-style, environment, you will be required to build new databases and repair and update existing databases.

Experience using FileMaker Pro is an absolute requirement for the role so please apply only if you have the relevant experience. 

Interview

As part of the interview process, please be prepared to:

1. Communicate in relaxed English for the duration of the interview.
2. Show any graduation certificates
3. Show demonstrations of any databases you have built
4. Show examples of your documentation e.g. method planning, flowcharts etc.
5. Build a small database as an example of your skills (1 hour)

Experience:

You must have a minimum of 5 years in a Filemaker development environment, and have the following

1. Good English communication – spoken and written
2. Apple Mac OS X
3. Experience with
1. Filemaker Pro and Advanced 9
2. Filemaker Server 9 and Advanced 9
4. Building highly complex, multi-relational solutions
5. Publishing Filemaker solutions via the web

Beneficial Experience, but not required

1. LassoSoft – Professional (or similar middleware)
2. MySQL, PHP programming

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible exclusively for:

• Developing new databases
• Editing and updating existing databases
• Filemaker maintenance and server management
• Publishing Filemaker Solutions
• Training the Hong Kong team in Filemaker solutions (Cantonese)
• There may be some overseas travel required to the UK/US (1 or 2 journeys per year)
