We are looking for a friendly and hard working programmer to add to our team, for a 1-year contract. There is the potential for a full-time position, after 1 year.
Interview
As part of the interview process, please be prepared to:
- Communicate in English for the duration of the interview.
- Show your graduation certificates
- Show demonstrations of your own designed and built websites.
- Show demonstrations of any online databases you have built
- Show examples of your documentation e.g. method planning, flowcharts etc.
Qualifications/Experience/Description:
You must have a minimum of 3 years IIS, C#, PHP, MYSQL experience in a programming environment.
Candidates with some project management experience would have an advantage. You will also need a good working knowledge of all the usual software such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and Word. The position is based in our Hong Kong studio.
You will need an EXCELLENT knowledge of:
- HTML
- CSS
- PHP
- MYSQL
- IIS
- SQL Server
- C# (C Sharp)
- JavaScript
- AJAX
- CMS integration
- Search Engine
- Optimisation techniques.
Requirements:
- University Degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, IT or related disciplines
- Must have at least 3 years solid work experience in software development using SQL Serve, ISS, C# and PHP, MySQL
- A plus for those with experience in J2EE, AJAX, Linux Shell Scripts, or web designing tools
- Good command of English and Chinese
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible exclusively for:
- Developing new, highly complex, web-based database systems using C#, SQL, PHP and MySQL
- Developing web sites and J2EE projects (if proficient)
- Microsoft IIS management and administration
Adhoc Routine
- Filemaker Pro knowledge would be an advantage, but not required.
- Provide support and training assistance for using the databases
- Creating training literature for databases
- Overtime may be required
- There may be some overseas travel required to the UK, 1 or 2 journeys per year.
